This policy explains what SwiftEstimate collects when contractors use the app and when homeowners open an estimate link, how that information is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account data: name, business name, email, phone number, trade type, tax rate, logo, and billing details.
Job data: price book items, estimates, line items, photos you upload, customer names, addresses, and contact details you enter.
Homeowner data: signature images, typed names, approval timestamps, and any job photos submitted through a media portal link.
Device and usage data: browser type, approximate location when you use GPS address detection, technician coordinates when you start a dispatch, and basic analytics about feature use.
How we use it
We use this information to run the service: build and deliver estimates, send follow-up and review text messages on your behalf, process payments and deposits, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We share data only as needed with processors who help us operate: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Stripe (subscriptions and customer payments), Twilio (text messaging), and our hosting and email providers. Each is bound to use the data only to provide their service.
Location and camera
Location is requested only when you tap to detect a job address or start a technician dispatch, and is used to fill in the address or show live arrival tracking to your customer. Camera and photo access is used only for logo and job photo uploads. You can decline these permissions and enter information manually.
Text messaging
Numbers are used solely to deliver messages related to your estimates and jobs. Recipients may reply STOP to opt out; we record the opt-out and stop future messages to that number.
Storage, retention and security
Data is stored in the United States and protected in transit and at rest, with row-level access rules so each contractor can only reach their own records. Offline changes are queued on your device and cleared once synced. We retain job records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and tax obligations.
Your choices
You can view, correct, export, or delete your business and job data from Settings, or by emailing support@getswiftestimate.com. Homeowners who signed an estimate may contact the contractor who sent it, or us, to request a copy or deletion of their record.
Children and changes
SwiftEstimate is not intended for anyone under 18. We may update this policy and will note the effective date above; material changes will be announced in the app.
